Preschool Story Times will be held each Wednesday at 10:30 and 11:30 through November. The program is geared toward ages 3 – 6 but all family members are invited. Registration is requested and visitors are always welcome. We sing songs, read books, share fingerplays & magnet stories and learn through fun literacy activities and crafts. Baby & Toddler Time returns on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 and 11:30 starting on October 3rd and running through December 19th. Experience the fun of rhymes, songs, stories and learning with your baby ages birth to 36 months. Then stay for meaningful, relaxing play and networking time with other parents/grandparents and learn about resources for early literacy development. Pre-registration is requested. A four-legged companion can work wonders 🐶
Our certified therapy dog, Irish, will be waiting for you during our PAWS-to-read program on Mondays starting October 9th and ending November 20th. This event provides a comfortable and judgment-free zone for kids to read and interact with Irish. Sign up is required so please call us @ 574-834-7122 or email Miss Cathy at cervin@nweb.lib.in.us.
LEGO builders ages 5 to 12 meet at the library on Saturday, October 14th, at 10:30 for an hour of freestyle building fun. LEGOs are provided. No need to register. Just drop in and join the fun. An adult must stay with builders ages 5 to 8 and adults are welcome to share in the fun.
Family Movie Time – Join us as we munch on free snacks and watch a movie on the large screen TV with surround sound in the library’s North Meeting Room. This month’s Family Movie Time will be on Thursday, October 19th, at 5:00 pm. We will be showing Disney’s classic “Cinderella.” It is rated G and lasts 75 minutes. Bring your own water bottle and come join the free family fun at your library.

Bring in your clean, gently used costumes on Friday, September 8th & Saturday, September 23 and receive a ticket to use on either Friday, October 13 from 10 am-6 pm, or Saturday, October 21 from 10 am-12 pm for a different costume.
