Help your child build confidence and independence in this fun, hands-on class! With guidance from an experienced instructor, students will learn important safety skills for staying home alone, caring for younger siblings, and handling babysitting duties. Through interactive games and role-playing activities, they'll practice real-life scenarios and even learn rescue techniques like choking rescue and CPR using mannequins. Don't forget to pack a sack lunch!
The North Webster Community Public Library is excited to announce another round of the comprehensive health program titled “A Matter of Balance,” aimed at empowering older adults to take control of their fall-related concerns and enhance their activity levels. The program will consist of a series of engaging two-hour classes held on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am-12:30 pm starting Monday, April 28, running through Wednesday, May 21. Limited seating is available, with a maximum of 12 participants per session. Participants are kindly urged to attend all sessions to fully benefit from the program’s valuable insights. Genealogists and those interested in learning genealogy are invited to check out Roots and Branches. This will be a time for one-on-one discussion, sharing tips, building your tree, and tackling brick walls. Attendees will also learn about the Genealogical Proof Standard and how they can apply it to trace their ancestors accurately. This program will take place the first Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon.
