    Teen Mindfulness Toolkits

NWCPL 110 East North Street, North Webster, IN, United States

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to spend the afternoon creating their own personalized mindfulness toolkits! We’ll make several simple crafts designed to help manage stress and promote calm. During the program, we’ll also discuss how to develop individual mindfulness practices, including breathing techniques. Each participant will decorate their own "toolbox" with washi tape and take it home with them. This will be a great time to connect with yourself and others before the end of the school year!

Registration is suggested, walk-ins are welcome. Register your teen by calling the library.

    Bigfoot Presentation

NWCPL 110 East North Street, North Webster, IN, United States

Join Producer, Lead Investigator and New Jersey Native Mike Familant as he shares his experiences researching and tracking down the truth behind North America’s most iconic cryptid, Bigfoot.
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Grassman, Skunk Ape or Big Red Eye, whatever name you choose to call this large, bipedal hominid, Mike has probably tried to track it down. Mike has been researching this amazing creature for over 13 years, and has captured some impressive evidence along the way. From the Florida Swamps to the North Country of Maine and everywhere in between, Mike is the full-time lead investigator and producer of the show, “In the Shadow of Big Red Eye.” He will exhibit some extraordinary evidence backed by facts which he and his team have collected throughout his journey, along with some of the unfortunate experiences which come along with Bigfooting. A Q&A will be held after the presentation and Mike will be available after for photographs and autographs.
See all of Mike’s shows, including his docuseries “Squatchables” (how to get into Bigfooting) on his YouTube Channel, “Sussex County Bigfoot,” and follow his Facebook page “In the Shadow of Big Red Eye” to keep up with the team’s expeditions and to see their newest evidence.

NWCPL 110 East North Street, North Webster, IN, United States

Let's face it, writing is hard. From choosing what to write about, to crafting your first draft, to the agonizing revision process, writers live in a world of day-to-day stress; yet, we love what we do! Join a group of like-minded writers as we share our own experiences with writing, whether for publishing or simply for our own enjoyment. We will share our creations based on a monthly writing prompt, then participate in a group exercise. Attendees may also bring their work for optional critique. May's writing prompt is, "If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?" Writers of all genres are welcome.
