Get Fit While You Sit!

Chair Exercise Class

Get Fit While You Sit is an hour-long chair exercise program. The first half-hour will be slower-paced and low-impact, a good fit for beginners and those just getting back into the routine of exercising. After a five-minute break there will be a higher-impact, cardio option beginning at 4:35.

Roots & Branches

Genealogy Club

every first Wednesday, monthly

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who were your ancestors? Where did they come from? When did they arrive in the U.S. Why did they come here? Learn how to find the answers to these questions and more during Roots & Branches, a new genealogy program at NWCPL! Anyone is invited, from the extreme beginner to the seasoned genealogist! The first portion will consist of instructional time, including genealogy videos, how-to talks, helpful tips, and more! Then, we will break off into smaller groups or work together as a team to answer attendees’ genealogy questions and help with those trouble areas known as “brick walls.” Attendees are also welcome to work solo if they prefer.

A Matter of Balance

Join us at the library for an award-winning, evidence-based fall prevention program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Participants will learn how to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and practice exercises to increase strength and balance. 

** this program is full for the fall, but you can register for the January – February class.
